Nintendo Music list of all games

For those looking for a complete list of all games included and supported in Nintendo Music, that’s where this post comes in.

Nintendo Music only came with a few songs at launch. However, since then, a few more have been added. Nintendo has also indicated that additional music is coming in the future. Currently it seems that we can expect at least one new title to be brought to the service each week.

Stray review

System: Switch
Release date: November 19, 2024
Developer: BlueTwelve Studios
Publisher: Annapurna Interactive

The life of a cat has perhaps been romanticized to some extent, but there’s no getting around the fact that it has been quite effective. Whether you love them or hate them, cats are the epitome of coziness in mainstream media, making them the ideal protagonists for more laid-back and comfortable video games. There aren’t many titles that will allow you to play as an ordinary cat, which is what makes BlueTwelve Studio’s Stray such an appealing title in many ways, putting you in the shoes (or rather, paws) of a regular cat in a cyberpunk setting. After two years since its initial release, the game has now finally made its way onto Nintendo Switch.

Life is Strange Double Exposure Nintendo Switch release date

The Nintendo Switch version of Life is Strange: Double Exposure just secured its release date. It’ll be ready to go digitally on November 19, 2024 and physically on January 28, 2025, publisher Square Enix and developer Deck Nine Games confirmed today.

The game originally released at the end of October. Square Enix previously noted that the Nintendo Switch version would arrive at a later date.

Atelier Yumia second trailer

November 16: Koei Tecmo and Gust just published the second official trailer for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. Currently just a Japanese version has been published, but it may come out in English later – we’ll keep you posted.

The new trailer gives us a look at the battle system. We also have footage of the story, though again, that’s only in Japanese.

Switch demos

Thousands of games are currently available on Switch, and there are a ton of demos out there for many of them. Not just Nintendo, but also third-parties are offering demos. We’ve now put together a comprehensive list of what’s out there.

Since our reader base is English-speaking, that’s what we’re focusing on here. In other words, we’re highlighting Switch demos that you can find in North America and Europe. Japan has a few extra demos on its end, but a majority of them are for titles that are not currently being sold in the west and are only playable in Japanese.

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Triforce Prime Energy

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom features the use of the Triforce for its story, but rather than actually calling it that, the game uses “Prime Energy” instead. The developers have now shared noteworthy information about the decision to use a different name.

The Trifroce is one of the more iconic elements of the Zelda series. However, Nintendo and Grezzo made the active choice to avoid using that word. In fact, series producer Eiji Aonuma was specifically opposed to using the Triforce. Aonuma indicated that “Triforce” brings along certain expectations, and that’s also why the team “purposefully made the setting and time ambiguous.”

The Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi franchises have both been around for a long time. Various games have been released across different generations of Nintendo hardware. Paper Mario has mostly seen a fairly consistent lineup of games, but it was the future of Mario & Luigi that was in doubt after developer AlphaDream shuttered several years back. Now development duties of the series have shifted to Acquire, the company who worked on the Octopath Traveler titles.

Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi are often compared (we’re not forgetting Mario RPG, but there’s just one game for that IP). Some fans prefer one of these series over the other. With Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door came to Switch earlier this year and Mario & Luigi: Brothership having just released, we wanted to ask where you stand. If you had to choose, are you Team Paper Mario or Team Mario & Luigi? Let us know in the comments.

Best Nintendo 3DS model 2024

Throughout its lifespan, Nintendo released a lot of different 3DS models. You had the original 3DS, 3DS XL, New 3DS, New 3DS XL, the standard 2DS, and New 2DS XL – and that’s not even counting all the special editions of each individual console. With Nintendo’s next hardware on the horizon, we figure today is as good a day as any to go over all of the major 3DS revisions and determine which one is the best.

The Switch is certainly Nintendo’s most popular console, but the 3DS has seen something of a small resurgence lately. This is in spite of its online play shutting down earlier this year – indeed, a fair number of players are either discovering the 3DS’ library for the first time, or reliving their nostalgia from over ten years ago.

Fate Reawakened

Today, publisher Gamigo and developer Tableflip revealed that they’re bringing Fate: Reawakened to Nintendo Switch. A release window was not shared.

Fate: Reawakened is a full remaster of the original classic series. Along with the original game, it includes the sequels Fate: Undiscovered Realms, Fate: The Traitor Soul, and Fate: The Cursed King. Fans can expect graphical overhauls along with added language support.

Sakuna Chronicles Kokorowa and the Gears of Creation

Marvelous and Edelweiss just unveiled Sakuna Chronicles: Kokorowa and the Gears of Creation, a new game tying in with Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. As of now there’s no word on a release window or supported platforms. That said, given the success of Sakuna on Switch, we should be expecting Nintendo support here.

Not much has been said of the project as of now. According to Marvelous, it “is an all-new spin-off story focused on the brilliant Princess Kokorowa, Sakuna’s close friend, who is a high-ranking goddess presiding over wheels and inventions from her heavenly home.” Further details will follow later.
